In this course we learn 4 pinch techniques.
1 Japanese Pinch
2 KAKUBACHI (square shape with a twist)
3 WAREYAMA (cut)
4 TOJIAWASE (overlapping cuts)

Chisato will make demonstrations and the participants make pieces. Chisato will supervise and correct the techniques.

materials you need
Clay with fine chamotte, fisher line that has only one handle, cutter, sponge, water, a piece of skin or plastic bag (to round the edges of pieces) a skewer (Moorish skewer)

to decorate.

1 KIRIYUMI (for cutting edge etc ...)

4 Hamon (to give sea wave texture)

After making tools we make pieces to test.

In this class we learn 4 decoration techniques

unifying traditional Japanese patterns.

1 Reserve with nail polish with KANOKOSHIBORI

2 WASHIZOME (paint with paper) with BAIKA

3 TENSHA (transfer) with TAKOKARAKUSA

4 KUSHIE (draw with comb) with NAMIMOYOU

We make dishes as samples with slab technique.

1 Reserve with nail polish embossed with SEIGAHA

2 Reserve with paper with SAKURA

3 Embedding NERIKOMI with ICHIMATSU

4 KAKIOTOSHI with KASAMOYOU or MIKUZUSHI

 

We make dishes as samples with the slab technique.
